Sunscreen is one of the biggest offenders where toxicity is concerned.
Conventional chemical sunscreens have ingredients that have been linked to allergies and endocrine disruption. What does that mean?
Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with endocrine (or hormone) systems at certain doses.
In order to block the sun, these conventional products use these harmful chemicals to absorb the sun into your skin. Studies have shown that these chemicals are actually absorbed into your blood stream...not cool!!
Sweet Bee uses 20% NON NANO Zinc oxide as our active ingredient, which reflect the sun's harmful rays instead of absorbing them.
We use NON NANO Zinc oxide because it's molecules are too large to enter your pores and then into your blood stream, making this an extremely effective barrier to the sun.
We then use organic oils to ensure Sweet Bee rubs in nicely. These oils are AMAZING for your skin!
We use:
Organic coconut oil, which has a natural SPF
Raspberry seed oil, which also has a natural SPF
Organic shea butter, which gives our sunscreen a beautiful texture
Mango butter, for pure luxury
Organic vitamin E : which is amazing for your skin and a natural preservative
Organic beeswax to repel water and sweat. It has natural water repelling properties so you can take a dip and know you're protected!
Non Nano Zinc Oxide: which gives our sunscreen its SPF power without entering the bloodstream.
