Can Sweet Bee Organic Sunscreen be used on babies?
Is it waterproof?
It is water-repellent. We use beeswax to make this happen. It allows you to swim with it on and will protect you in the water. When you notice the water not beading off your skin any longer, it's time to re-apply. You should also re-apply when you come out of the water, especially if towelling off. We suggest you apply every 40 minutes if in water.
How often should I re-apply Sweet Bee?
We suggest you reapply every hour for maximum protection. If you are very fair or in and out of the water, please reapply every 40 minutes.
Is Sweet Bee Organic?
Most of our ingredients are EU Agricultural Certified Organic. We source the best ingredients to give you the most nourishing product for your skin.
Is it Vegan friendly?
We use beeswax to achieve a water-repelling sunscreen. We source our beeswax from ethical manufacturers who have the animals' welfare at the forefront of their interest! We are currently looking for another organic and natural way to make our sunscreen vegan.
Is it Paraban free?
YES! Free from any nasty ingredients...especially parabans!
Is it scent free?
Yes, we use ZERO scents in our sunscreen. Since we use organic shea butter, it does smell of this. It is a very fresh and clean scent that once absorbed into the surface of your skin, it disappears.
Is it Marine friendly?
100% Marine friendly, right down to our packaging. We use 100% natural ingredients that do ZERO harm to any aquatic life...including our beloved coral reefs. We also us a reusable glass jar so that no plastic gets dumped into our oceans as well!
Is it suitable to use on sensitive skin?
YES! If you have sensitive skin, this is your sunscreen! The oils we use are actually nourishing for your skin and our non-nano zinc oxide actually has antimicrobial properties making it great for eczema proned skin as well.
How long does the product last once opened?
It should last anywhere from 9 months to a year...longer if refrigerated. Just pop it in the fridge and use as and when you need it.
What is the SPF?
We use 20% non-nano zinc oxide. This yields us a 30-35 SPF. Using 20% has been studied to get this SPF or higher. We believe ours will be a bit higher. It is currently being tested for an exact SPF
